What we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo URL. We store groups, expenses and split amounts, optional payment handles (Venmo / Cash App / PayPal), push tokens if you enable them, and invite links. We do not ask for bank or card numbers.

How we use data

We use your data only to operate SplitEasy: show balances, send invites and notifications you enable, and let you export or delete your account. We do not sell personal data or run third-party advertising.

Who we share with

Group members can see shared expenses and display names. Processors: Supabase (auth/database) and Resend (invite email). If you connect ChatGPT, OpenAI receives friends, groups, balances, activity, and expenses you confirm, under ChatGPT’s terms. If you connect Claude, Anthropic receives the same kinds of data under Claude’s terms.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is open. Unused connector authorization codes expire after 10 minutes. A ChatGPT or Claude connection lasts until you remove SplitEasy in that app or your session ends. Push tokens last until you turn notifications off or delete your account. Invite links expire (typically 30–90 days) or when revoked.

Your controls

Export CSV anytime, delete your account in Settings, turn off push, and disconnect ChatGPT or Claude in that app’s settings. Deleting anonymizes your profile and forgives outstanding balances. Contact support@spliteasy.tech.
